What is the electronic register?
The electronic register (or record of reports) is a structured log of every report received, actions taken, deadlines met and outcomes. It is a core deliverable in virtually every EU transposition and is routinely requested during regulatory inspections.
Minimum data elements
- Unique report identifier and date/time of receipt
- Channel used (web, oral, written)
- Whether report is anonymous or confidential
- Date of acknowledgement (7-day compliance)
- Status and assigned officer
- Date of substantive feedback (3-month compliance)
- Measures taken and closure date
- Export capability for authorities
Why spreadsheets and email fail
Manual registers drift out of sync with actual cases, lack immutable timestamps and cannot demonstrate secure access controls — all weaknesses under GDPR and whistleblowing audits.
QReportly automatic register
Every report is logged automatically with full audit trail, deadline metadata and one-click export for inspections.
